WAX MELT INFO
WHAT IS A WAX MELT AND HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Wax melts are scented cubes of wax that can be placed in an approved wax warmer to gently melt the wax and release fragrance into the air.
WHY WOULD I USE A WAX MELTS OPPOSED TO A SCENTED CANDLE:
Sometimes we would like to add fragrance to our space but it may not be ideal (or allowed) to burn a candle with an open flame, such as at an office, etc. Wax melts used in an approved wax warmer are the perfect option for this situation.
HOW MANY CUBES OF WAX DO I USE:
Depending on the size of your warmer, as well as your preference as to how subtle or strong you prefer the scent in the room, you can add as few or as many cubes as you prefer. It may also depend on the size of the room you are in. On average, you will likely need 2-3 cubes for a modest scent throw.
WHERE DO I PURCHASE A WAX WARMER?
Wax warmers can be found at most major retailers in the Home Section.
WHAT KIND OF WAX IS USED FOR THE WAX MELTS?
I use a Soy Paraffin blend because I like the superior scent throw it provides and the consistency is perfect for easy release from the clamshell.
WHAT WILL AFFECT HOW STRONG THE SCENT IS IN MY SPACE:
There are multiple reasons for variations in scent throw including the following:
-FRAGRANCE OIL
Some fragrances oils are stronger than others simply based on what they are (ie. lemon scents tend to be subtle whereas stronger scents like Palo Santo would be much more noticeable)
-SIZE OF THE SPACE
Scent throw from the wax warmer may be noticed to be stronger in a smaller space such as a bathroom versus a larger open space like a living area
-HOW MANY CUBES ARE USED
The beauty of wax melts is your ability to choose to use as few or as many as you prefer (and how many your warmer will safely accommodate) to reach your aromatic preference level.
-HOW LONG OR HOW MANY TIMES THE WAX MELTS HAVE BEEN USED
Scent is released into the air from the warm wax. You may notice the scent diminishes after burning for long periods of time or over multiple burn periods. Simply discard the old wax once cooled and replace with fresh wax melts.
*TIP-To release cooled wax from your warming dish, place in the freezer for a few minutes and it should pop right out
